I think - I hope - it's a well-constructed contemporary work, a California aesthetic, a David Hockney or even Ed Ruscha painting (quintessential Los Angeles painters) in scent. I don't think it's one of the great immortal scents blah blah. But setting all that aside, simply as a fragrance, I'm glad you like it. I suppose what we attempted was portraiture, and you'd have to know the fictional character to know whether we succeeded there. That angle is a reflection of the character. On the other hand the mint angle - which Caroline constructed from several materials - was very important to me, and not because there's mint in Anne's (my fictional character's) garden in the Hollywood Hills.
